an improved cpw-fed printed uwb antenna with controllable band-notched functions

چکیده
a newly designed printed slot antenna is presented that incorporates variable two band-notched functions for ultra-wideband (uwb) applications. the two band notches of this coplanar waveguide (cpw) fed antenna are achieved by an m-shaped slot (mss) embedded in the radiating element and a c-shaped strip(css) close to ground plane, therefore two very narrow rejected properties in the wireless local area network (wlan) band (5.15-5.825 ghz) and worldwide interoperability for microwave access (wimax) operation in the (3.3-3.7ghz) are obtained. the rectangular aperture is etched in the square ground plane. it has a determinative role in antenna’s impedance band width (ibw) enhancement, moreover, by adjusting carefully it leads to wide ibw. based on simulated results it covers the frequency range 2.4–12.9 ghz with vswr ≤ 2, which corresponds to a fractional bandwidth of 137% excluding the rejected bands. numerical and experimental results are presented to understand its behavior. the volume of the proposed antenna is 25 × 25 × 0.8 mm3.

متن کاملDesign of A Compact CPW-FED UWB Antenna with WiMAX and WLAN Band-Notched Characteristic Evaluated in AHP Framework
In this article, we present a new design of a coplanar waveguide fed (CPW-fed) ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with dual band-notched characteristics. Two notched frequency bands are achieved by using two inverted U-shaped stepped impedance resonators. The proposed antenna can operate from 2.82 to 11 GHz (118%), defined by VSWR< 2, except two notched bands around 3.5 GHz (WiMAX) and 5.5 GHz (WLAN)...
متن کاملA novel UWB CPW-fed ring-shaped antenna with band-notched characteristics
A novel compact omnidirectional coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed antenna with band-notched characteristics has been designed and analyzed. The proposed ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna has a simple structure. A ring-shaped radiating patch is excited by a CPW feed line. By creating 2 square slots on the top corners of the antenna, a new resonance is excited and the bandwidth is enhanced. The band-notche...

A CPW-fed UWB antenna with WiMAX and WLAN band-notched characteristics is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna is fed by a CPW structure and provides the band-notched characteristics by etching an arc slot on the monopole plate and integrating the antenna with electromagnetically coupled microstrip resonator into a single module. In order to prevent interference problem due to existing...

متن کاملDesign of a CPW-fed Dual Band-Notched Planar Wideband Antenna for UWB Applications
Since the first Report and Order by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) authorized the unlicensed use of ultra wideband (UWB) which must meet the emission masks on February 14, 2002 [1], both industry and academia have paid much attention to R&D of commercial UWB systems. Among UWB system design, the UWB antenna is the key component. Recently, a considerable amount of researches have be...
